Driver requirements
- • Age: 21+ required. Drivers 21-24 pay an underage surcharge of $20/day.
- • License: Valid US or international driver's license, held at least 1 year, no DUI within 7 years, no more than 2 minor moving violations within 3 years.
- • Additional drivers: First one FREE. Each extra: $5/day. All must show ID at pickup.
- • ID at pickup: Valid driver's license + a credit/debit card matching the renter's name.

What's not allowed

- ✗ Subletting or re-renting the vehicle
- ✗ Transporting hazardous materials
- ✗ Driving outside the continental US, Canada, or Mexico without prior written consent
Fees & penalties (all up-front)
Insurance disclosure
Every Wakzy rental includes a Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) at $8/day with a deductible of $150.00 (the refundable security hold).
Liability coverage is provided at the legally required state minimum. Renters may decline our CDW and use their own personal auto policy or credit-card coverage — present proof at pickup to remove the $8/day charge.
Wakzy is NOT a primary insurance provider. Renters are responsible for damage beyond the policy limits and for any personal injury claims.
